Salt Lake County District Attorney Office Building
2018 UC&D Utah Most Outstanding Public Project of the Year Under $10M
For more than three decades, Salt Lake County officials sought funding for this project and location. As hoped by former District Attorney David Yocom, the home for county attorneys is now adjacent to the downtown Matheson Courthouse. The new 5-level office building and 5-story parking structure are part of a 3-acre, multi-use development. There are spaces for both criminal and civil prosecutors, as well as legal support staff. The building includes a day care facility, small gym, counseling spaces for trauma victims, and convertible training rooms.
The government facility was designed to meet LEED Gold standards after Salt Lake County asked that it have low energy standards in anticipation of a solar energy system.
