Kane County Hospital, a vital healthcare provider for rural Southern Utah and Northern Arizona, underwent an impressive expansion and remodeling project, adding over 17,000 sf to its critical care and swing-bed facility. The ambitious project significantly enhances the emergency room, surgery recovery, and pharmacy services while upgrading the security infrastructure, hospital lab, imaging department, and waiting areas.

Despite the complexities of operating within an active healthcare environment and the logistical challenges of a rural setting, the project achieved remarkable success. Through practical value engineering, the hospital realized substantial savings, which funded the construction of a new three-bay ambulance building. The new facility includes classrooms, a large conference room, additional earthwork upgrades, and stormwater detention ponds while upgrades to the hospital's infrastructure support the expanded capacity. These comprehensive improvements elevate the quality of medical services for the local community and extend healthcare accessibility to visitors, ensuring that this remote area is well-equipped to meet its healthcare needs.
