The Center is one of 15 University of Utah specialty clinics in the Salt Lake Valley and is the only University clinic to offer the whole range of care for ophthalmology and dermatology. Used primarily for outpatient clinical visits and minor procedures, the facility contains a pharmacy as well as administrative, clinical trial, and support spaces. The first and second floors house the John A. Moran Eye Center. The Department of Dermatology is located on levels 3, 4, and 5. With 54 rooms for exams and procedures, the department can see more patients than was possible at its previous location. With shelled space on the fifth floor, there is room to expand within the building.
