2005 AGC Utah Best Building Project of the Year $25+ Million

In the News

This six-level building houses the research facilities for the University of Utah‘s School of Medicine, including pathology and biochemistry. It includes laboratories and conference areas with the latest technology and equipment. The space is designed for researchers to gather, interact, and discuss each other’s research. Because the building is used strictly for research, vibration within the building was an important consideration. The vibration requirement is limited to 1,000 micro inches per second. To meet this requirement most cost effectively, a poured-in-place reinforced concrete structure system was used.
