There is a wide range of research activities in the facility including chemistry labs, complete with large volume fume hoods. The research part of this facility was designed for project research and development in the medical/hospital field. The production facility features extensive clean room areas for sterile medical products. The structural requirements to house the extensive HVAC systems above the ceiling were stringent. The building design also includes security features to safeguard the economic value of the state-of-the-art processes.
