Brigham Young University Life Sciences Building & Parking Structure
2014 UC&D Most Outstanding Higher Education Project
The classroom building is the new home for the College of Life Sciences at Brigham Young University. It provides updated spaces and equipment for the students and faculty and includes 16 teaching labs, four conference rooms, three auditoriums, and more than 70 academic offices.
A cast-in-place, reinforced concrete, one-way wide-module concrete joist-and-slab floor framing system was selected to provide an economical, robust, and versatile floor framing laboratory environment.
The building serves as a gateway to the south end of campus. It also provides more parking for faculty with an integrated three-level, 250-stall parking garage.
